Who we are
We are two sisters who grew up in the Kansas City northland. After years of competitive swimming, we ended up finding a shared passion for Pilates and yoga. Not only has it made us feel better mentally and physically, it’s given us a chance to grow closer with each other. Our goal for Third Space Studio is to share that same passion and connection with the community.

Our Mission
Our mission is to create a third space where you can harness the benefits of yoga, Pilates, and Sculptformer classes with the added benefit of cultivating community. We strive to create a space in which you can incorporate multiple modalities into your fitness routine all in one place. We are the only studio in the Kansas City area that offers Sculptformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, and yoga classes on one, all-inclusive membership.
FAQs
What is a Sculptformer?
We utilize the Sculptformer, an advanced version of a traditional reformer that delivers a dynamic high intensity, low impact, full body, resistance focused workout. The Sculptformer combines principles of traditional Pilates, strength training, and cardio for a challenging workout. By focusing on slow, controlled, and mindful movements, you build muscle while increasing flexibility, balance, and endurance.
*Please note, grip socks are REQUIRED in every Sculptformer class.
What Mat Classes are offered?
We offer heated yoga flow classes and heated Mat Pilates classes.
Our yoga flow is a vinyasa-style class where you’ll connect breath to movement. These classes encourage you to be fully present as you move your body and find your flow. We offer both a traditional Yoga Flow as well as a Power Yoga Flow.
Our Yoga Flow classes are all-levels dynamic flows that provide both support for beginners and challenge for advanced practitioners.
Our Power Yoga Flow classes take Yoga Flow up just a notch with a slightly quicker pace and an emphasis on strength-building postures.
Our Mat Pilates Sculpt incorporates all of the benefits of Classical Pilates but with a contemporary twist. We’ll add in weights, bands, Pilates rings, and/or Pilates balls to sculpt and lengthen the entire body.
Our Candlelight Restore classes keep you grounded and supported by incorporating props, longer holds, and deep breathing. You’ll leave feeling relaxed and restored. We recommend attending once a week on your rest day or after your Sculptformer or mat class to provide your body with time to stretch and recover.
What is the parking situation?
Free 2-hour street parking is plentiful along 2nd Street as well as along Main Street between 2nd and 3rd. Additionally, before and after work hours, we have a few parking spaces available in the lot on the northeast corner of 2nd and Main (right across the street from the studio)!
We are also 2 blocks from the River Market Streetcar stop (3rd and Grand)!
What do I need to bring to class?
We recommend bringing your own mat to any yoga or Mat Pilates class. We do have mats and mat towels available to rent if you forget!
Bring your own grip socks for all Sculptformer classes.
We provide sweat towels, bath towels, and any equipment needed for your class such as weights, bands, etc.
